Bulldog August Newsletter Page 2Bulldogs,

Welcome back! Summer break is an opportunity to relax, rejuvenate, and spend time

with the ones you love. I hope each of you feels refreshed and ready to take on the

2024-2025 school year. Newberry High School is excited to welcome our teachers,

staff, and students back on campus. We have some new faces in our faculty/staff,

and we know they will be wonderful additions to our Bulldog family. If you visit our

social media pages you will be able to see more information on each of them.

Last year, Newberry High School made positive strides in numerous accountability

areas including EOC Scores (End of Course Testing), College and Career Readiness,

and School Climate. In each of our monthly newsletters I discussed data points,

school report card results and goals. I will continue to do this for the 24-25 school

year. NHS depends on our parents and community for support. We all have the

common goal to create the best learning environment for our young people as we

prepare them for the world after high school. The school report card for the 24-25

school year is not out yet, but we have high hopes that it will reflect the hard work of

our students, teachers, staff, and families.

Our motto for the 24-25 school year is "Bulldog Built". Newberry High students and

staff (both former and current) are a special group of people. We are determined,

compassionate, and loyal. We can balance pushing each other to excellence while

also extending our hand to help each other in tough times. We take care of our own

while also focusing on making our community a better place. Bulldogs excel in

academics, athletics, and the arts. "Bulldog Built" is not just a phrase, it is an earned

title to be worn with pride. The Newberry High School family is dedicated to ensuring

all of our students embody these characteristics.

I cannot express how much I look forward to working with each of you to make 2024-2025 a great school year!
